About this Blog

In late 2010 and early 2011, ferocious floods swept over most of Queensland and claimed 38 lives. In this report you will discover the causes of the floods and the location of where they cause the most destruction and havoc. Some of the worst affected areas included Toowoomba, Dalby, Rockhampton and Charleville. The impacts of the floods on the land-form, climate and vegetation of the effected areas will be discussed, along with the dramatic changes to the social, economical and environmental position of Queensland as a State. The immediate response of Australia to the floods, and the precautionary ideas to prevent large amounts of damage in the future will also be outlined in the report. The Natural Disaster report will be accompanied with a video that will enforce the extent of damage to which the 2010-2011 floods caused.
